Daystar University Marketing Engagements
Marketing for future intakes has began in earnest. This past week, the Corporate Affairs Department had intense engagements in Kakamega County (Feb 9-12) led by Alex Mutuku, Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School (Feb 10-12) led by Hellen Ogodo, and St. Patrick’s Iten (Feb 10-12) led by Sosnes Olindo.
Daystar Enhances it's afforestation efforts
The Vice-chancellor, Prof Laban P. Ayiro projects to plant 40,000 trees at the Main Campus Athi River in the next two years. This he revealed on Thursday 16th February, during the launch of the Tree Nursery has sponsored The Chandaria Foundation and Global Peace Foundation. Currently, the tree nursery has 35,000 seedlings.
Kansas City Professor at Daystar University on Carnegie Fellowship
Professor of communications in the College of Arts and Sciences', A.Q. Miller School of Media and Communication, Kansas State, Dr. Nancy Muturi, has been awarded a fellowship by the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program to collaborate with Daystar University's School of Communication.
Prof. Egara Kabaji spends Sabbatical leave at Daystar University
Renown Professor of Literary, Prof. Egara Kabaji is at Daystar University for the next six months on Sabbatical leave. The full professor of Literary reported on 1st February and will be domiciled in the School of Communication, where he shall interact closely with faculty and students. In addition, Professor will work closely with the Directorate of Research and Graduate Studies. He will also share his vast experience in teaching and administration with Daystar faculty and staff.
DUSA to Launch Tree Nursery - Thursday 16th February
Daystar University Management, in partnership with the Daystar University Students Association (DUSA) will on Thursday 16th February launch a tree nursery, currently nurturing 35,000 seedlings.

Daystar University in collaboration with Global Peace Foundation, Chandaria Foundation, Daystar University Students Association and its Rotaract Club will on 16 February launch a tree nursery at Main Campus Athi River intended to increase the tree cover.

Over 900 new students join Daystar University
The January 2023 intake closed on Friday 27th January as teaching took off to a successful start. Over 900 new students were admitted to Daystar University this semester.
Visiting Faculty donate to Kibera Primary School and School Farms Kenya
Daystar University visiting faculty Prof. Dale Johnson (University of Maryland University, USA), Prof. LeAnn Johnson (Shepherd University, USA), their daughter Kristie Parkinson donated clothing and stationery to FM Kibera primary school on 8th November 2022.
Daystar University to pilot ICT and Innovation project
The Principal Nairobi Campus Prof. Michael Bowen has welcomed a collaborative project which, if implemented, will see Daystar University launch a pilot project on ICT and Innovation in partnership with the Ministry of Education, and several other partners.
Vice-chancellor Hosts School Farms Africa - Gurnesey
In October 2022, a team from School Farms Africa in Guernsey - a British Channel Island - visited Daystar University Main Campus Athi River where they toured various projects including the University Library, School of Nursing which was under construction, the student Gym, and the poultry farm. During the visit, Peter and Mariane Sarl, Gerry and Hellen Morrissey also attended the Chapel service on 18th October where Peter Sarl preached on 18th October. The four are Board members of School Farms Africa, a non-denominational charitable organization in Guernsey that supports vulnerable children in Nairobi slum schools.

Two Daystar University faculty members attended a fully funded networking workshop for Supervisors of Doctoral Candidates in African Universities held at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
