The Chair of Daystar University Council Prof. George Njoroge has been appointed Honorary Professor of Medical Education at the prestigious University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
This is because of his accomplishment in the discovery of new medicines for the treatment of diseases such as Hepatitis C and Progeria.
Prof. Njoroge was the first African to receive over 100 patents issued by the US patenting agency. His work has been published extensively.
Prof. Njoroge is currently giving back to his country Kenya by developing a Life Science Institution at Naivasha. The institution will be highly involved in discovering medicines for life threatening diseases.
