TARDA donates 1500 trees to Daystar University

Meanwhile on 24th March 2022, Daystar University received yet another1,500 trees from Tana and Athi River Development Authority (TARDA). The trees were delivered to Athi River Campus by a team of 10 people led by the Managing Director/CEO Mr. Liban Duba.

Present to receive the trees was the Ag. DVC ARSA Prof. Martha Kiarie, University Chaplain Rev. Steven Nduto and Projects Manager, Mrs. Coretta Ndunda.

As she received the trees on behalf the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kiarie thanked the TARDA team for donating 1,500 trees and said that planting trees was the Vice-Chancellor’s passion. 

“With trees we know our environment will change. We shall take care of the trees  and we shall invite you to come back and see what we have done with them” she promised.

The Managing Director TARDA Mr. Duba registered his gratitude to Daystar University for accepting the trees.  “We treasure the days rivers would flow freely and look forward to that time again,” he said.  He also expressed the desire to partner with Daystar University in areas of research and development, and grant writing.

The trees were planted behind the Founders’ house and next to the poultry farm.
