The Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban P. Ayiro addresses Senate and Management during this year's performance review annual retreat.
This year's annual Senate and Management performance review retreat was held at Bamburi Beach Hotel in Mombasa with over 50 participants in attendance. In his opening remarks, the Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban P. Ayiro urged the University officials to:
√ Model the way
√ inspire a shared vision,
√ challenge the process,
√ enable others to act and
√ Encourage the heart.
According to Deputy Vice-chancellor Finance Administration and Planning, Prof. Muturi Wachira the objectives of the retreat are to take stock of the University performance, identify areas of concern and discuss issues that impede performance, as they take time out to bond and build team spirit.
The retreat which ran from 10th to 12th July, 2023 was preceded by the student Leaders'induction retreat at the same venue from 7th to 10th July.
