From Tuesday June 13, 2023, Daystar University Students Association (DUSA) held a sports and clubs awareness week at the Main Campus Athi River. The main aim of the Associations’ week was to create awareness of the various clubs and associations available for students.

Activities of the week included matches for rugby, hockey, tennis, soccer and indoor games such as chess, scrabble and mega jenga, all of which act as a way of refreshing students’ minds after class. Students played games and the winners were awarded.

The students were encouraged to interact with different clubs as Associations as they gathered information on what they entail as well as various sporting activities they can engage in.  They were also encouraged to sign up with different clubs  and Associations for membership.

In spot check interviews with students, the Infospot caught up with Maryanne Mwaura who said: “I am delighted to be part of the Clubs and Association week activities. I urge the University to organize more events like this every semester if possible.”

Maryanne wished students could attend such forums for information on what  different clubs entail and how they can help them nurture their talents and interests, as well as make their university life fun and enjoyable.
