School of Arts and Social Sciences Hosts Association of Christian Schools International

[January 11, 2024, Athi River], The School of Arts and Social Sciences hosted guests from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) at Daystar University Main Campus Athi River.  

The guests comprised Africa Director, ACSI Global, Dr. Sosthene Maletoungou, Regional Coordinator French Speaking Africa - Sylvain Momo, Director, ACSI Uganda- Grace Turyakira, Board Chair, ACSI-Kenya- Lilly Oyare and Director, ACSI Kenya and Regional Coordinator, East Africa- Herbert Sambu. 

The aim of the visit was to discuss possible collaboration between Daystar University and Association of Christian School International (ACSI).  The two parties were in agreement that there was need to train teachers with a Christian worldview.  

Before visiting the Main Campus Athi River, the team first toured the Nairobi Campus.  The guests were hosted by the HoD, Department of Education, Dr. Joab Namai, jointly with his Lecturers - Dr. Emmily Sitati, Dr. Susan Wandera, Rev Abok Ager, and Acting Corporate Affairs Manager Ms. Jean Murungi.  

ACSI will draft an MOU document that will be reviewed and signed by both parties.
