Jewish community in Nairobi and the larger East Africa region, Rabbi Netanel Kaszovitz, plants a tree at the Heroes corner
The current leader of the Jewish community in Nairobi and the larger East Africa region, Rabbi Netanel Kaszovitz, planted trees at Daystar University Main Campus Athi River on May 15, 2023, in commemoration of 75 years of Israeli’s independence.
He was accompanied by Ms. Elizabeth Njeri, the Founder of Erez Africa Consult who is also a Postgraduate student at Daystar University, pursuing Diplomacy, Development and Security Studies.
The two were received by the Deputy Vice-chancellor- Finance Administration and Planning Prof. Muturi Wachira, Dean School of Arts and Social Sciences, Rev. Dr. Patrick Musembi, Projects Manager Mrs. Coretta Ndunda, Corporate Affairs Manager Mrs. Damaris Kimilu, University Services Manager Ms. Caroline Mwangi, and faculty from the School of Arts and Social Sciences.
The tree planting exercise took place at the Heroes Corner where fourteen trees were planted. The guests revealed that they plan to plant 75 trees at Daystar University to mark the 75 years of Israel’s independence.
