Vice Chancellor away in USA

Addressing the University community from the Athi River campus before his departure on 3rd August, the Vice-chancellor intimated that his trip would focus on raising funds for student scholarships and capital projects such as sports facilities, construction of a Chapel and the School of Nursing.

The Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban P. Ayiro is in USA on a one-month fundraising trip.
Prof. Ayiro travelled on 3rd August 2021 and is scheduled to be back early September.
Addressing the University community from the Athi River campus before his departure on 3rd August, the Vice-chancellor intimated that his trip would focus on raising funds for student scholarships and capital projects such as sports facilities, construction of a Chapel and the School of Nursing.
He will also deliver lectures in several universities in an effort to raise partnerships in research and publication, faculty development and student exchange.
Among universities lined up for his speaking engagements are: Michigan State University (23rd to 25th August), University of Colorado (25th to 27th August), Howard University (27th to 31st August), Maryland University (1st to 3rd September) and Azusa Pacific University (3rd to 7th September).
During the Vice-chancellor’s absence, the DVC- Academic, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Faith Nguru will serve as the Acting Vice-chancellor from 4th to 22nd August 2021; while the DVC-Finance, Administration and Planning will take charge from 23rd August to 5th September.
