Signing Of Performance Contract

On February 2, 2022 the Daystar University top leadership, Prof. Laban P. Ayiro, Prof. Faith Nguru, and Prof. Muturi Wachira signed their performance contract for the year 2021/2022. This was witnessed by the Council Chairperson, Prof. Henry M. Thairu and the Chair of Spiritual nurture & Human Resource Committee of the Daystar Council, Ms. Nyambura Musyimi and other members of the Daystar Management Board. The signing of the performance contract is significant in the actualizing of the strategic plan that was launched in 2021 in the spirit of the New Dawn. The performance contract signing is set to raise the quality of controls and efficiency in service delivery.

The signing of the performance contract is significant in the actualizing of the strategic plan that was launched in 2021 in the spirit of the New Dawn. The performance contract signing is set to raise the quality of controls and efficiency in service delivery.
In his remarks, the Council chairperson, Prof. Henry M. Thairu stated that the performance contracting is critical in clarifying everyone’s purpose and giving meaning to our ethos; Excellence, Transformation and Servant-leadership. “This performance contact is key in measuring our performance and staying on the pathway of success as an institution,” he said.
“I want to congratulate the leadership of Daystar University for the clarity of vision,” said the Chair of Spiritual nurture and Human Resource Committee of the Daystar Council, Ms. Nyambura Musyimi. She was particularly pleased with the trajectory the University is taking stating that with the signing of this performance contract Daystar is going to strengthen a culture of excellence and servanthood which will flow down to the staff, faculty, students and the entire Daystar community.
Prof. Laban P. Ayiro reiterated that the performance contract will ventilate all areas of the University’s operations and lighten the path moving forward. The Vice-Chancellor expressed his faith in the future of the University and called on the members of the management present to exhibit the spirit of excellence, and to be driven by transformation and servant hood. “We have a focus on where we want to go, I therefore urge you to stop dancing on the periphery and move to the center,” charged Prof. Ayiro.
The Vice-Chancellor was also pleased with Daystar University’s webometrics ranking, where Daystar was ranked number fourteen nationally, which is an improvement from number 24 in the previous ranking.
Prof. Muturi Wachira stated that the performance contract incorporates the plans of Daystar University’s management for the next one year. Prof.. Muturi stated that this will bring synergy in all the divisions for better performance and service delivery.
Prof. Faith Nguru called on Daystar management to continue treating work as worship to God, guided by the performance contract and the strategic plan.
