Communication Hub welcomes new Shine FM Management Team

The Daystar University communication hub consisting of the student-run newspaper Involvement and radio station, Shine 99.9 FM is now under new leadership.
The Daystar University communication hub consisting of the student-run newspaper Involvement and radio station, Shine 99.9 FM is now under new leadership.
The outgoing editorial teams passed on the batons to the new line up of Involvement Newspaper and Shine FM editors on 25th February 2022. The incoming teams of editors will be in office for a period of one year from 2022 to 2023.
The ceremony was graced by renowned journalist, Zawadi Mudibo of BBC Africa, who is also a graduate of Daystar University. Mr. Mudibo shared the story of his journey in the media and encouraged the students to never give up on their dreams.
Also present was the Dean School of Communication Prof. Levi Obonyo. HoD Media and Film Studies Dr. Beatrice Mbogo, Public Relations officer Ms. Jean Murungi, and Shine FM Studio Technician, Ms Beth Nakitare. Both the outgoing and the incoming teams of editors and reporters were present.
The incoming Involvement team consists of: Editor-in-Chief Ms. Evelyne Syombua, Kiswahili Editor & Nairobi Bureau Chief Ms. Wangui Njau, Managing Editor and Ag. News editor Mr. Aaron Kituku, Online Editor Mr. Abdul Said, Copy Editor Ms. Wachera Ndichu, Sports Editor Mr. Ken Andrew, Graphics Editor Ms. Stacy Kendi, Photography Editor Ms. Christar Wambui, and Marketing/PR Manager Mr. Kennedy Tatyana.
The Shine FM team comprises Mr. Chris Waweru as Station Manager, Ms. Wacera Ndichu as Assistant Station Manager/HR, Mr. Raphael Mutuku as Production Manager, Ms. Neema Oloo as Programming Manager, Mr. Aaron Kituku as News Manager, and Ms. Olivia Nyokabi as Corporate Affairs Manager.
Meanwhile, Shine FM changed its broadcasting frequency from 103.1mhz to 99.9mhz since February 1, 2022.
