ORIENTATION BRIEFING FROM THE SECURITY DEPARTMENT
I welcome you to Daystar University. Daystar recognizes the importance of a safe and
secure study environment for the well being of our students.
In order to familiarize you with our important security
and safety procedures, we need you need to take
note of the following:
- Currently, security on both our campuses is provided by CATCH LINK SECURITY COMPANY.
- Access to the university is through designated entrances. When we re-open, you will be issued with a Student ID Card. Please note that you are required to display your student ID at all times while on campus.
- At all our Main Entrances, our Security guards conduct security searches on individuals and vehicles. Kindly co-operate with them.
- Daystar University has an approved dress code that is enforced by the security guards on behalf of the management. Kindly familiarize yourself with the Dress Code in the Student Handbook, and adhere accordingly.
- Parking is reserved for the students, Lecturers, staff and visitors to the University. If you are driving, please download a vehicle registration form from our website, fill it and submit to the given email address indicating your student number. We shall prepare your Car Pass and more instructions on parking areas by the time we resume physical learning.
- Any form of violence, be it physical, verbal, cyber-bullying or any other kind, among students or directed towards any member of Daystar University is prohibited.
- Please note that Daystar University is a Drug-Free Zone.
- Report any security incident to the daystar security team or to the nearest police station.
As I conclude, I wish to inform you that as a student you are responsible for protecting your personal as well as University property. The Security Department is committed to work with you in ensuring that our University gives you a conducive and friendly learning environment.
