On Friday 26th May, 2023, the Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute (DLPDI) graduated more than 300 ladies who attended the Channah Pastors’ Wives and She-Pastors workshop on leadership development.

On Friday 26th May, 2023, the Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute (DLPDI) graduated more than 300 ladies who attended the Channah Pastors’ Wives and She-Pastors workshop on leadership development.
The workshop which took place at CITAM Valley Road from 23rd to 25th
Among the facilitators was the Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban Ayiro who addressed the topic: Group dynamics and conflict management.
In his talk, Prof. Ayiro noted that conflict is caused by the absence of trust, and that pastors’ spouses were critical in trust building in churches. He highlighted the different types of conflicts that people find themselves in, including intra-personal, inter-personal, intra-group conflicts among others, and guided that conflicts can be managed through avoidance, accommodation, and collaboration. These involve putting off, giving in, or integrating the view points of multiple people, respectively.
Other topics covered during the workshop included effective communication for ministry by Pastor Ann David, mental health intervention by Rev. Gregory Kivanguli, pastors wives calling by Mama Adah Adoyo, Pastor’s wives’ discovery by Pastor Vera Makena, leadership styles for effective ministry by Mr. John Ng’ang’a, Bible doctrine survey by Dr. Josephine Munyao, Sermon preparation and delivery by Rev. Steven Nduto, Personal Financial Management by Prof. Abraham Waithima, and Marriage and Family Counseling by Bishop Dr. Sammy Gitari.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Rev. Canon Dr. Rosemary Mbogo of Kenya Coalition of Church Alliances and Ministries who was the Chief Guest, Daystar University Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban P. Ayiro, and members of Senate and Management
