Daystar University receives over 1500 new students in Sept 2023 Intake

On Monday September 4, 2023, Daystar University Main Campus was buzzling with activities as new students admitted for the September 2023 intake reported to begin their university education. The intake attracted more than 1,400 admissions.

On Monday September 4, 2023, Daystar University Main Campus was buzzling with activities as new students admitted for the September 2023 intake reported to begin their university education. The intake attracted more than 1,400 admissions.
The freshmen, comprising Undergraduate and Diploma Day students were accompanied by their parents and guardians on their first day in the University.
The Orientation programme began with breakfast hosted by the Vice-chancellor, Prof. Laban Ayiro, accompanied by Management, Deans of Schools, Directors, Senate and Managers.
In his welcome address, the Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban Ayiro thanked them for choosing Daystar University and assured the parents that Daystar University will be run almost like a high school by maintaining discipline, a statement which parents received with cheers.
“I assure you that Daystar University is stable and offers value. Help me to take Daystar University to the next level,” urged the VC, further promising to send constant communication to update parents on students’ progress.
The DVC-Academic, Research and Student Affairs Prof. Faith Nguru assured students that they were embarking on a journey that will not only brighten their future but also provide opportunities for learning and growth.
“You have the potential to make a lasting impact here at Daystar University and the world at large,” said Prof. Nguru.
On his part, the DVC- Finance, Administration and Planning, Prof. Muturi Wachira, assured parents of the best learning environment at Daystar University Main Campus Athi River, citing facilities such as a well-equipped Gym, a modernized Library, and new Nursing labs among others.
The University Chaplain Rev. Miano Weche told students to expect God’s visitation, if they were curious enough, like Abraham.
The Orientation programme ran until Sunday September 10, with orientation dinner taking place on Friday, September 8, and teambuilding activities on Saturday September 9. Classes began on Monday September 11.
