Daystar receives a new Chaplain

On December 1, 2022, Daystar University received the new Chaplain at the Main Campus Athi River during the staff chapel service. Rev. John Miano Weche was received by the outgoing Chaplain Rev. Steven Nduto, the DVC Academic, Research and Student Affairs Prof. Faith Nguru, Faculty and staff.

On December 1, 2022, Daystar University received the new Chaplain at the Main Campus Athi River during the staff chapel service. Rev. John Miano Weche was received by the outgoing Chaplain Rev. Steven Nduto, the DVC Academic, Research and Student Affairs Prof. Faith Nguru, Faculty and staff.
Rev. Nduto presented Rev. Miano during the staff Chapel service held at the ICT Theatre, where he was prayed for by faculty member in the department of Computer Science, Rev. Fredrick Ogore.
Rev. Weche has since assumed office pending installation ceremony on January 17, 2023, at the Main Campus Athi River, and January 19, at Nairobi Campus.
Effective from December 1, 2022, Rev. Nduto transitioned to the Academic Division as a lecturer in the School of Arts and Social Sciences.
Prior to joining Daystar University, Rev. Weche was the Director of Missions at the Navigators Kenya.
He holds Master of Divinity from the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, a Bachelor of Education from Kenyatta University, and a Certificate of Post graduate studies (Preaching and Leading: shaping prophetic communities), from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky, USA.
He was also an adjunct faculty, Bible and Theology Department, Pan African Christian University.
