Faculty Pedagogy Workshop

"We need to desist from writing literature reviews as summaries but do critical review that will arouse more questions in the students, that is what will make Daystar University different”

On January 28, 2022, the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Research and Students Affairs (ARSA) together with the Directorate of Academic Affairs carried out a refresher workshop for both fulltime and part time faculty of Daystar University. The aim of the workshop was to strengthen the Problem Based Learning (PBL) mode of teaching.

Staff and Faculty changes and new appointments

Late last year and early this year,
the following staff and faculty changes were made: -
Prof. Abraham Waithima was appointed -Director DLPDI

Dr. Samuel Muriithi was appointed Director of the newly institutionalized Directorate of Academic Affairs.

Sister Professor Agnes Lando named a member of the Jury

Sister Professor Agnes Lando, PhD, of Daystar University, School of Communication Director of Research and Postgraduate studies has been named a member of the jury in the 7th edition of the pan-African (re)insurance Journalism Awards by the Continental Reinsurance Plc.

Daystar University holds a Prayer Day

On January 27, 2022 the University set aside it daily operations and gathered in both Nairobi and Athi River Campus to pray and commit the January 2022 semester to God.

Daystar University hands over School of Nursing project to the contractor.

The site which is now under the contractor, Lexmi International, shall have works beginning ahead of the forty weeks that will have the Phase 1 of the project completed.
