Memorial Service held for late Mercy Jerono Kwambai
The Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban Ayiro has called for patience and calm as security agencies carry out investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the demise of Ms. Mercy Jerono Kwambai, a female first year student who died in the early morning hours of Saturday, 9th September 2023.
On Tuesday 12th September, the Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban P. Ayiro addressed the first Chapel service for the new semester and academic year at Daystar Athi Campus. It was a solemn and somber moment as the Vice-chancellor spoke for the first time following the events of the previous weekend in which the University lost a female first year student under mysterious circumstances.

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Amphitheatre was packed to capacity as the new students eagerly waited to be officially admitted to the University in a matriculation ceremony officiated by the Vice-chancellor Prof. Laban P. Ayiro and Deputy Vice-chancellor ARSA, Prof. Faith Nguru.

Sabaki Hills Kindergarten Celebrates World Literacy Day at Agape Library
On Friday September 8, 2023, pupils from Sabaki Hills Kindergarten spent their day at the Athi River Campus Agape Library, to celebrate the UNESCO World Literacy Day.
The trip was arranged by the School Director Ms. Yvonne Oyee. The little people were hosted by the Acting University Librarian, Mrs. Charity Kironcho, Reader Services Librarian Mrs. Zipporah Kimote, and other library staff as they exposed the pupils to what happens in a library..
