To think that you’re better
Because of your tribe
To act like you do not care
Because you are a middle class
To post patriotic messages on social media
Yet you result to tribal bigotry in your cocoon
To vote for your ‘own tribal king pins’
Without any justification or principle
Simply because you have a right to vote
Voting you must! Moreover, you Will!
No, No, No… It is not enough…
To expect Kenya to be peaceful
Yet secretly engaged in cajoling tribal emotions
Locked in your myopic thinking….
Persuaded that the other tribe is the problem
Walking around with entitlement mentality
Loathing others and dismissing them
As a bunch of sluggish tribes
Who cannot and should not
Be given a chance to lead!
It is not even enough…
To play the victim
Always crying wolf
Even where there is no alarm
Relentlessly in a perpetual state of lamentation
Seeing no good in anything
And doing no good in everything
Dragging everyone with you
Down the precarious lane of self-destruction
Exhibiting negative energies to settle tribal scores!
This is what enough is….
The real elephant in the room
The ultimate game changer
Do not just vote…
Beloved country will not change
Just because we voted,
but it will change
Because we voted in the right leaders!
We must do so in peace!
Not just in pieces!
