The Directorate of Academic Affairs oversees the implementation of academic decisions besides ensuring effective teaching and learning for all academic programmes.
Operating under the Office of the DVC-ARSA, the Directorate keeps a sharp focus on the following four academic pillars of the University:
Quality teaching and learning
Quality research and scholarship
Quality and qualified faculty
Student excellence
The above will be achieved through the following activities:
Schools: Work with Schools to review/develop new/implement programmes, monitor teaching and recommend appropriate actions
Quality: Work with Directorate of Quality to facilitate approval of programmes, develop course delivery tools/resources and implementation of such tools/resources
ICT: Work with ICT and other related departments to ensure smooth learning by providing or advising the departments on appropriate decisions
Research: Work with Directorate of Postgraduate and Research to promote research in the University.
Students: Work with student bodies, such as DUSA and Dean of students to develop mechanisms to ensure student satisfaction.
Collaborations: Establish/facilitate collaborations with like-minded institutions to promote quality education.
