Security has been beefed up in the coast following the Mombasa terror probe as more suspects are detained.

Three females have been detained for interrogation. The women are said to be former classmates of the woman that was killed in the September 11 attack.

One of the women was reportedly said to be epileptic with a heart ailment. Lawyer Jared Magolo, representing the women, opposed a state application for orders to detain them for a week in defense of ailing woman.

The three women, Nasteho Ali Thali, Luul Ali Tahil, and Zam Abdi Abdullahi were under a heavy guard as they were brought to court on Wednesday evening.
