Every person in this world if given a chance will have a certain opinion of how you should lead your life. Well it is very wise to open your ears for people who are willing to advice you on certain issues, although it is very critical to have the ability to discern. According to me this is the art of sieving, taking in what is of importance to you that which is worthy to invest in and leaving the rest. It would be very rude to shove off people who are willing to spend their precious time just to speak to you hence it is important to give them a listening ear.
The beauty of life is the fact that we have the free will to choose how we want to live our lives. Before accepting Christ into your life, the decisions made many times are influenced by the circumstances surrounding you or the people in your life. Immediately you accept Christ there is a renewal of your mind that causes a total change in the perspective you have about your life. This is because you are now made to understand that it is no longer you who lives but Christ who lives in you. The bible clearly indicates this in the book of Galatians 2:20-“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Christ becomes the major determining factor of the way you make your decisions. In His word you get to hear Him to speak to you and guide you in achieving the great destiny that He has called you for. Without Him it is impossible to live a purpose-driven life, He is your creator hence he knows exactly what purpose he created you for therefore the only way to discover this is through Him. It becomes easy knowing that you are not alone in this journey called life because there are times that things get thick to the point in which not even your family or friends can get you out of. Moreover, with Him though it is a guarantee that even when you are at rock bottom He will still be there to guide you towards your great destiny.
His opinion of you is what matters the most. This is very important to internalize because there are times you can lose yourself when you get caught up with all the chaos going on in the world. People telling you things all around you some of which you don’t agree with although you can easily find yourself just giving in and eventually you are turned into something that you are not. Having a firm foundation on a rock which is Christ is the best choice that anyone can make because a house that is built on a rock even when rain pours heavily and floods come up.
