Police officers outside Kapenguria police station

Police stations across Kenya are on high alert after the Kapenguria siege that left seven officers dead. As a result, most police stations have installed tight vigilance and surveilance across police stations frisking anyone getting inside the facility. The attack on the police station is said to have been carried out by constable Abdihakim Maslah yesterday. Reports say that he was tempting to free a terror suspect linked to Al-shabaab being held at the station.
