Nigerias economy continues to dwindle as the repurcussions expose the civilians to the face of hunger.

Nigeria which is the largest economy in Africa,has been facing a crisis as a result of the Islamist violence group.The Boko Haram insurgency has continued to cause tension and pressure in the country .The economic pressures have also intensified the suffering in the country.

Nigeria who relies largely in oil production has suffered lately because of the collapse in crude oil prices which has reverberated across the country.The Nigerian Naira has fallen to a record of 350 against the dollar and nearly lost 40% of its value since June 20th.The number of people in northeast Nigeria who need food aid could nearly double within a month.

As the government continues to make efforts to curb the problem,the UN and other humanitarian groups continue to raise concerns over the extent of the crisis facing civilians.
