When I first read the letter of Martin Luther King Jr. while he was jailed in Birmingham, I realized that it is not always easy to get what you want. Sometimes you just don’t achieve something without a fight. What happens along the way is most of us get tired and we eventually give in, but Martin Luther did not.

This is what makes him so special and what makes an entire community of black Americans in the USA to look up to him. He speaks with wisdom and keeps fighting even when he feels that the strength he has is almost gone and the bars or the cold in jail does not shake him. He does not stop and that is what inspires me the most. He makes a great leader because at some point he keeps going even when the battle is tough. He is on the lookout of justice and he is aware that there is a problem in the United States which will eventually become a problem in the whole world. “Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.” He is deeply in love with humanity and his conscience will not rest until he fights this great injustice of racism.

Most of us do not even care of what other people go through as long as they are doing fine but Martin Luther makes other people’s business his business. If only we had so even at least five people like Martin Luther King Jr. then may be the world would be a better place. The biggest lesson to learn is that times are hard but in life there must be a leap of faith that one can make it. There are ups and downs in life but we must always face the demons in our lives fearlessly. One thing we should all know is that like Martin Luther king we should not give up because that is where our weakness lies. The most certain way to succeed is to always try just one more time.
