Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials appear before the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee . The parliamentary select committee on electoral reforms adjourned on Monday morning after IEBC officials declined to respond to some of the questions.

Even before appearing before the parliamentary select committee on Electoral reforms,the Independent Electoral and Boundaries commission had already questioned the legality of the select committee.

The IEBC chairmanIssack Hassan,chief executive officer Ezra Chiluba and eight commissioners appeared before the select committee to answer questions on their suitability to remain in office.However, the meeting was adjourned after members of the electoral commission declined to answer the questions.TheIEBC team made preliminary objections saying their rights were being violated.
