Tharaka-Nithi County ghost workers at the health sector have been given a one-month duration to come out clean on the legalization of their jobs.

Tharaka-Nithi County has removed more than 300 ghost workers from its payroll in the last one month according to Governor Samuel Ragwa.

The workers were given a one-month grace period to prove how they got their jobs by providing all the necessary documents to a committee handling the matter.

The Health sector is the most affected with salaries of over 100 workers having been stopped.
