Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Chairperson Lydia Nzomo called on Principals and Headteachers attention. She urged them to help maintain peace as the negotiation on Collective Bargaining Agreement goes on.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Chairperson Lydia Nzomo gave a promissory remark on the big question on the minds of the thousands of people out there unemployed.
She said that the government has in consideration on the agenda of employing 5000 teachers annually. In addition to that, 10,000 will be promoted because of their stay in the same job for too long.
In reference to the opening of new schools, she called on the ministry of heads in counties to try and regulate the rate at which new schools are coming up unless it is of necessity.
