Welcome to the Daystar University Library. The Library seeks to promote the vision and mission of the University by providing timely access to quality and relevant information resources in a variety of media to meet the research, teaching and learning needs of the University. The Library is fully automated and networked, thus providing equal information access to all the library holdings. A visit to Daystar University Libraries provides one with the opportunity to enjoy and discover rich print and full text digital collections and facilities.
Library collections can be accessed virtually and with ease beyond the physical walls of the library through the wireless network. Hence, our students, faculty, staff and collaborative partners can enjoy web access to the various information resources from the different campuses, their homes, laboratories, smart classrooms, and Daystar environs.
The library is professionally organized and managed by highly competent and qualified staff and support personnel. It is organized into five major sub-libraries and customer focused units namely: - Collection Development; Technical Services; Reader Services; Africana And Special Collections; and Multimedia Resource Centers. The University Library also houses and manages a multi million Text Book Loan Program. This is a student focused project that aims at providing a core text book for each core course taught at Daystar University.
The University Library is committed to maintaining a top notch approach in embracing and integrating modern technologies in information management to be in tandem with the global community agenda to ensure open access to library and information resources to all for long life learning.
