Diploma In Human Resource Management (DHRM)

    This diploma programme prepares candidates to become practitioners in Human Resource Management to respond to workforce dynamics in modern work places, especially at the operational and middle levels of organizations.

    The diploma is designed to build the learners’ knowledge of business management, technical skills and the capacity to provide seamless human resource expertise in the modern business environment.

 

 

Program Outcomes


At the end of the programme, students should be able to:

  • Have knowledge and skills enabling them to link the place for human capital and business’ success in modern organizations.
  • Have HR technical ability and professional skills for effective problem solving.
  • Apply the principles learnt in the performance of their duties in the workplace.
  • Become HR professionals providing solutions at the operational and middle levels of organizations

 

Admission Requirements


To be admitted into the program one must be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate C- (minus) or its equivalent Examination Certificate.  In addition, a prospective applicant must have obtained a minimum of

  • C plain in Mathematics
  • C- (Minus) in English or Kiswahili.
  • One (1) Principal in A level.
  • Division III (three) in KCE certificate with a credit pass in Mathematics and English and four other units
  • Other equivalent qualifications as may be approved by the University Senate.
