Diploma In Business Administration and Management (DBAM)

    The Diploma in Business Administration and Management programme aims at helping those who want to equip themselves with comprehensive management knowledge to deal effectively with the rapidly changing business environment.

    It offers a unique opportunity for students to enhance their understanding of the ‘whole enterprise’ in its competitive situation.

 

Program Outcomes


At the end of the programme, students should be able to:

  • Apply specific functional management skills to increase the productivity and business efficiency in their areas of responsibility.
  • Appreciate the theory and practice of specific functional management areas.
  • Formulate business plans and develop business solutions for effective decision making.
  • Appreciate the importance of teamwork and group dynamics in achieving organizational goals and demonstrate ability to work effectively in teams.

 

Admission Requirements


To be admitted into the program one must be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate of C- (minus) or its equivalent Examination Certificate.  In addition, a prospective applicant must have obtained a minimum of

  • C plain in Mathematics or Business Studies or Economics.
  • C- (Minus) in English or Kiswahili.
  • One (1) Principal in A level.
  • Division III (three) in KCE certificate with a credit pass in Mathematics.
  • Other equivalent qualifications as may be approved by the University Senate.
