Refurbishment of Communication Studios to start immediately
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Laban Ayiro has instructed that work on the refurbishment of Communication studios at the Nairobi campus, and equipment upgrade at the Athi River campus studios should start immediately.
In his brief to a special Management meeting on 6th May and later at Chapel on 7th May, the Vice-Chancellor said there was no reason why work on the studios cannot begin.
“After engaging the Daystar US Board on Communication studios for the Nairobi campus, the DUS Board and DUS staff contributed Ksh 13.5 million towards this project,” the VC said.
The VC also brought home exciting news of Ksh 12.5 million given from DUS for the access control system. The Daystar U.S. Office hosted the three DU visitors, including covering the cost of accommodation and food. “You can see the three of us spent very little for air travel and DUS covered accommodation and we have brought back Ksh 26 million,” said the VC. He reiterated that transparency and accountability will be his style.
The VC stated that the University will soon begin to move most of its operations to the Athi River Campus starting with the offices of DVCs and the Finance department. He instructed that henceforth all meetings be held at the Athi River campus.
The VC was very encouraged by his time with Daystar U.S., especially with the faithful prayers and support, especially during the difficult times last year. The Daystar University community is very grateful for the continued investment into Daystar University by our brothers and sisters in the U.S.!
