DLPDI Graduates Narok Church Fellowships members
Daystar Leadership and Professional Development (DLPDI) has completed one week outpost training on Strategy Formulation and Implementation for 15 churches in Narok County. The 15 churches are part of the Narok Church Fellowship, consisting of different denominations with their patron being the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya, the Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit.
The training, which attracted Bishops and Senior Pastors from the 15 churches culminated with a graduation ceremony held on May 25, 2018, with the Archbishop the Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit as the guest of honor.
In his remarks, Rev. Dr. Ole Sapit commended the graduands on their commitment and dedication throughout the training. “Daystar University has come all the way to make us know and take the lead. Let the knowledge not collect dust, but impact churches, families and for personal growth,” he urged.
The Archbishop further encouraged the graduands to bring solutions to issues affecting the community, “Be conveners of discourses on issues affecting the society,” he urged, saying that this will enable the Church leaders better the lives of the Maa community.
In his charge to the graduands, Daystar University Acting DVC Academic Affairs, Prof. Bernard Boyo encouraged the Church leaders to take the partnership opportunities between Daystar University and Narok County Church Fellowships to advance their knowledge.
The Director of Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute-DLPDI Prof. Abraham Waithima emphasized the importance of the training in developing Church-owned strategic plans. “The Church leaders have been empowered to positively impact the Church and society through the training that has been witnessed here,” said Prof. Waithima.
The local conveners of the Narok Church Fellowships urged continuity of the partnership with Daystar University, for more training.
