GREAT MIND BEHIND SIRONI RESTAURANT
The great mind behind Sironi Restaurant
“Quality is our recipe.”
Sironi restaurant, which has been operating from the Nairobi Campus, has set camp at the Athi River Campus, ICT complex. The Athi River campus Cafeteria has been in operation since beginning of January 2018 semester…
The Sironi Restaurant was asked to set up the Athi River campus Cafeteria following increased demand by staff and students to open an alternative restaurant at the Athi River campus to supplement the Ark Holdings. It has been a while since the ICT Cafeteria was closed, and most of the staff and students are not aware of the introduction of Sironi’s Restaurant in ICT block.
“Quality is our recipe” is how Mrs. Jacinta Gathiong’o likes to put it. Jacinta is the Director of this Restaurant that is not only in Daystar but also in Nazarene and Riara University.
She and her business partner, who is also her son always make sure they are associated with their brand which is represented by colors: maroon, yellow and black. She had to solely renovate the ICT theatre from the drawers, stores, painting of the facility and electricity since their machinery uses three phases unlike the previous caterers that used single phase, to suite her preference.
The bigger company goes by the name Practice Management Solutions Kenya Limited but trades under the name Sironi. The head chef is Mr. George Karanja whom she has been in work with for almost two years.
Mrs. Gathiong’o is a hands-on person currently working with 12 staff members. “My mission and vision is to ensure Sironi is in every private and government institution, given the opportunity,” she said. She finally added that their prices are reasonable and affordable and they aim to entice both students and staff with their quality, standards and good food.
Further, Sironi offers outside catering services when opportunity arises. She intends to partner with Daystar students so that she can start deliveries to wherever it’s convenient to her clients.
