CONGRATULATIONS TO DLPDI GRADUATES
On the afternoon of 26th February 2018, the Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute (DLPDI) graduated more than 70 candidates at Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) Ngong Church, after completing 11 months of training on ministry for people in leadership in the Church.
The ceremony was attended among others by the Acting Vice-Chancellor Rev. Prof. James Kombo, DLPDI Director, Prof Abraham Waithima, University Chaplain Rev. Steven Nduto, Corporate Affairs staff, CITAM Pastors and families of the graduands.
Rev. Prof. James Kombo encouraged the graduands that leadership in itself is very hard but it is not by might but by the spirit the Lord that they will succeed.
With reference to Philippians 2:5-8, the University Chaplain, Rev. Steven Nduto urged the congregation to rejoice despite their difficulties, and to build relationships.
DLPDI Team that put together the CITAM training and graduation Prof. Waithima congratulated the graduands saying that they were now equipped church leaders. “The training gives the student basic skills to lead. It covers such areas as Christian Worldview, Lifestyle, Church and Governance to equip learners with skills in corporate, community and leadership sectors,” he said.
The class representative Carol Maringa praised the training, saying that the classes were fun-filled. “Class started in February 2017 and now we are celebrating 11 months of hard work which covered 11 modules in 30 training sessions. We interacted with case studies and video clips among others, and we learnt to appreciate teamwork, church and politics,” said Carol Maringa.
One of the facilitators, Dr. Lawrence Osege urged the participants to be good ambassadors of Daystar. He further encouraged them to be involved in Ministry.
Deputy Senior Pastor Rev. Nyakio charged the graduands with “To whom much is given, much is expected.”
