DOULOS Display Outstanding Leadership With Freshmen Orientation
The DOULOS leaders staged outstanding performance during the orientation week as they received and inducted Freshmen into University life, culture and registration process. As the August 2017 orientation week closed on August 26th, more than 800 students had been admitted to Daystar University, and counting. We however await to know how many enrolled for classes. These numbers have come despite new requirements imposed by the Ministry of Education which have left many universities struggling. Daystar is truly grateful to God for this big number of admission.
The Orientation week, which was delayed by a week following the political tension soon after the general election, was packed with a hive of activities ranging from the reception of new students. Key activities of the week included the welcome of new parents, matriculation and Freshmen dinner, among other activities.
The Dean of Students Dr. James Karau has appreciated all that took part in the success of the orientation week from the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Faculty and Staff, Chaplaincy, DOULOS and many other volunteers that willingly gave their time to make the Orientation week run smoothly.
